INTERIOR FINISHER - PAINTER

Job Duties:

•Painting, finishing, and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures;

•Preparing surfaces for painting and finishing;

•Preparing, priming, taping, sanding, scraping, sealing, patching and painting in both residential and commercial environments;

•Skimming, repair and spraying of different ceiling textures;

•Operating, cleaning and maintaining all painting equipment, including brush, rolls, sprayers, pumps, etc.;

•Erecting scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes;

•Operating and use of required tools and equipment skillfully and safely;

•Practical knowledge of residential and commercial practices and processes of the painting trade; paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials, and of their properties and application.

Qualifications & Experience:

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in both residential and commercial construction;

•Must be reliable, flexible, organized and possess a positive and mature attitude;

•Ability to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to:

•lifting equipment (up to 100 lbs. unassisted),

•bending,

•crouching,

•kneeling,

•standing,

•climbing,

•walking;

•Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades;

•Ability to use oil and epoxy paint and handle hazardous materials safely;

•Not afraid of heights;

•Ability to distinguish between colours;

•Effective interpersonal skills and customer focus;

•Ability to work with others as a team;

•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required;

•Flexible to work overtime and weekends when required.

Working Conditions: 

Be available to work business hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.

Be available for occasional overtime on weekends.
